Wow, Gerry Curry out on the upper East Coast lives 5km from his 'nearest' broadband connection. He got permission to get cable in a nearby church, setup WiFi via arport and a directional antenna. Then he aimed it at his house. In a few steps, he was in business surfing at 11Mbps. Nice.
A great video of his setup is available here and it is well worth the look. He also has a page with pictures. Quite an impressive feat.
Hmmm. perhaps I should do this for my garage. I have a few old macs to choose from that can move out there to be just be Wi-Fi for my occasional "wrenching" sessions. Perhaps.

I did a search for Bisson Jeep and Bisson Motors. As of this posting, the rankings for this site and for another I developed are helping to not only increase my rankings but Bisson's as well.
So here is the offender that put me through over 32 days of Jeep pain:

Pretty Funny.
Well, I got the MINI Cooper S (Supercharged, BABY!) and am incredibly pleased. Had a nice run with another MINI at luch that my pal David drives. He took some shots if you want to see more...
David's Mini is the 2002 Yellow one. Mine is the new Dark Silver for 2004.
Gosh they are fun. Supercharged Go Kart with a stereo, huge moonroof and A/C anyone? What a performance driver's car. If I can only get through the break in period.
Just gotta get the dealer to take care of a few things like Bonnet Stripes and my rear seat being loose.
Thanks to David for the pics and the good times.

November 6th. Took delivery of the MINI. Pics from my camera are corrupted.
Just took it out a few minutes ago (again) to make sure that the e-brake worked. It does :)
More to follow picture-wise. Also some questions I left my super-sonic sales guy Ben who will no doubt see this and get me hooked up proper.

I have a Sony Ericsson Phone - a t68i. Never had a phone clip but Irene bought me one and that broke in the first week. In my pocket the phone got bounced around and she found me another. That lasted about a month and broke in a similar fashion - right at the swivel point. Of course I never saved the packing or any of the stuff since I thought it was a consumer item.
Swivel Phone clip being replaced. Belkin - Done Right!
Here is what I sent to Belkin via their 'contact us' sales email link. I did not expect much. Oh well, heartless world.
I have purchased two of your Sony Ericsson T68 Series Swivel Clip Holster in the past few months and the first one snapped at the swivel and the second is giving out in the same way,I have used many of your USB, Wireless products in my SOHO and with my clients but I fear that quality control is a bit lacking.
Since I hasten to spend another ~$20 at the local electronics store, I am considering just purchasing an OEM holster via the Sony Ericsson website. Is there anything we can do here? I note in the pic:
that it says lifetime warranty but of course I didn't save any of the packing that come with the two I bought.I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
Minutes later I got this from Belkin:
Hello, I am sending out a replacement holster to you at no charge. I have forwarded your comments to our Product Management department. Thank you for your interest in Belkin products.... name and email removed ...

Regardless, thanks Belkin for making me and my clients think just a little bit better about some companies.
The fact that Belkin will back up my purchase from a retailer via email is a testament to a company that folks like me like to deal with. Anybody have another?
Well, today is November 4th. Election day across the nation. You did vote right?
I did. Perhaps this is a start to a better tomorrow.
